Fantastic Casting Rumors For ‘The Fantastic Four’ Reboot
space
Vactor   |

If at first you don’t succeed, reboot, and reboot again. That seems to be Marvel’s approach to recent comic book films that have not turned out so well. Daredevil, Ghost Rider, and Fantastic Four have all been getting reboot talk lately and we now have our first set of proposed casting rumors for the Fantastic Four film.

Screenrant has Adrien Brody (who has also been rumored for the upcoming Ant-Man film) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers both in the running for Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic.

Meanwhile, Comic Book Movie tells us that Fox has been looking at Kevin Pennington (90210) to play Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch and Amber Heard (Zombieland and Pineapple Express) to play Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman.

Take these rumors with a grain of salt though, as the film has yet to be greenlit. The thing (no pun intended) that most intrigues me about this proposed reboot is that Ben Grimm, the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing himself, would be completely CG. If done correctly, that could be really interesting.

Who would you cast as the Fantastic Four?

  2. There’s soooo much good material out there just crying out to be adapted. And while they sit and get ignored we get to see 500 different retakes of the Hulk. Palleeeezzzee.

  3. I would actually be ok with keeping Michael Chiklis as the voice of The Thing.

  4. Meyers would be better for the role than Brody, IMO.

  5. I’m not sure FOX should be handling this F.F since they got the first one’s so horribly wrong. Jessica Alba as Sue Storm??? Are you nuts??? Who’s the guy who played Reed Richards?? He sucked whoever he was. I didn’t even like Chris Evans as Johnny. And I like Chris Evans. I’m looking forward to seeing him as Captain America. Great casting, by the way for the Captain America film. Hugo Weaving as the Red skull, AWESOME! The only thing I thought worked in the two FOX Fantastic Four movies was Larry Fishburne as the voice of the Silver Surfer. Here’s how the new Fantastic Four should be cast:
    Matthew Fox – Reed Richards
    Elizabeth Banks – Susan Storm
Daniel Craig – Victor Von Doom
Jeffrey Dean Morgan – Ben Grimm
    Ryan Gosling – Johnny Storm

    Any questions?
