Kevin Costner is one of those actors that sort of lost his way. Early in his career he was in some great films and he even directed one of them, but then he faded into direct-to-DVD Hell.
Now Latino Review has it from a “well placed source” that Costner has been cast in Zack Snyder‘s upcoming reboot Superman, alongside Henry Cavill who will be playing the Man of Steel.
Rumors circulated for a while about who Costner would play. Some believed he might play a villain, but the role that made the most sense was that of Jonathan Kent, the man who found a baby in a crash-landed space ship and named him Clark.
Over the weekend Latino Review confirmed that Costner will in fact be Clark’s daddy. Currently Costner is directing A Little War of Their Own, a WWII era film about a sheriff trying to get control of a small town that’s about to erupt in violence. Costner was recently seen in Company Men along with Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones, and Chris Cooper. Hey, at least he’s keeping good company, right?
