Dwayne Johnson Up For ‘Goliath’; Taylor Lautner Eyed For David
space
Cinemumra   |

You know, when it comes to a man who could fit the title of Goliath, who better than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson?

Relativity and Temple Hill Entertainment think the same thing, as the pair have tapped Johnson for the role of Goliath in a new take on the biblical story David and Goliath with Taylor Lautner being eyed for the role of David, according to Twitch. Goliath will be helmed by The Day The Earth Stood Still director Scott Derrickson.

Personally, I actually really dig this news. I think Johnson is an underrated action star, and if this is given the right, more adult take that Relativity could give it, it could really be something special. My hopes aren’t super high, but everything appears to be falling into place for a film that could really work well. Lautner makes me nervous, but hey, maybe the kid can act. Here’s to hoping.

What do you think?
