Every day here at Doom HQ we receive tons of tips from our readers about really cool stuff from the world of geek, as well as promotional materials for new films, comic books, collectibles, and much more. While we do our best to bring you as much of it as possible, we don’t always have enough geek manpower available to cover it all on a daily basis. But we hate the idea of all of this really cool stuff wasting away in our inbox. How could we NOT cover it? Hence why we’ve resurrected our long-defunct column Bits Of Doom, now rebranded and revamped as Doom Digest, a collection of easily digestible bits of news, videos, photos, and other goodies.
Today: A Star Trek engagement ring, Bill Murray‘s hologram, Star Wars as told by Dr. Seuss, house sigils for TV families, metal Game Of Thrones song, and a bird who chirps like R2-D2, plus Bits Of Doom.

TV Family House Sigils
The house sigils on Game Of Thrones are pretty popular and now College Humor has come up with some spot-on sigils, complete with mottos, for some of TV’s other popular families, like those on The Office, Parks and Recreation, Seinfeld, The Walking Dead, The Simpsons, and more.
Check out this metal version of “The Rains of Castamere,” a song in Game Of Thrones. (The song appears in George R.R. Martin’s novels and the official musical version was performed by the band The National and was played during the end credits of Season 2’s penultimate episode “Backwater.”
