Hot on the heels of a new poster, a full trailer for Sony Animation’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 has been released online.

The trailer shows all your favorite characters from the first movie returning to their home of Swallow Falls to find it completely transformed into a new world filled with food creatures…some adorable, and others a bit more aggressive. This leads the group to set off on an epic journey to find the machine responsible for all of this delicious chaos, and destroy it.

Blue Lines is widely considered to be the first trip-hop album. At the time of its release electronic music was associated with upbeat dance tracks, but Massive Attack sought to evolve their own sound by fusing down-tempo hip hop, soul, reggae, and other musical and lyrical influences important to the group’s history. What resulted from their painstaking efforts became a hallmark for British electronic music production and gave rise to “chill out” electronica.

In what certainly seems to amount to a whole much of ado about something or a whole lot of nothing, it appears that Stone Temple Pilots, the band that first rose from the grunge ashes of that genre’s peak during the early/mid 1990s to sport a more adventurous rock/post-punk/hard rock ala Led Zeppelin meets Janes Addiction kind of sound, has fired their front man, Scott Weiland, a charge the singer vehemently denies.

The group announced the decision this morning via a one-sentence press release, which simply and to the point read: “Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland.” The band had reformed back in 2008 after it had been defunct for five years, and toured incessantly last year. They have not made it clear if they are going to forage ahead with a new lead vocalist or not. Just as recently as early this week, Weiland mentioned to Rolling Stone that the band hadn’t broken up, that he hadn’t quit or had been fired. That was a response from a Rolling Stone interview guitarist Slash, Weiland’s bandmate in their former supergroup Velvet Revolver, did a few months ago, in which he had said that STP’s termination of Weiland had come to fruition.

Seth Grahame-Smith is a pretty decent writer whose books do really well, but when it comes to screenplays, that’s a whole other story. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the movie he wrote from his novel of the same name, was critically panned and bombed at the box office, but that isn’t stopping the writer from taking on other projects. Heat Vision has word that the screenwriter will be taking his talents to the comic book world now by rewriting the script for the Fantastic Four reboot, directed by Josh Trank.

According to the trade, the new superhero film will take a grounded approach, but have sci-fi elements attached to it. It will also “tap deep into the comics mythology, which featured not just the better-known villains such as Doctor Doom and Galactus but also alien races the Kree and the Skrull, and the anti-matter universe known as the Negative Zone.”
