Star Wars Celebration Europe II

Star Wars Celebration is winding down today in Germany and there’s been plenty of cool news and photos coming out of the event over the weekend, like the news of John Williams Scoring ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ and a photo of the ‘Return Of The Jedi’ Cast Reunited.

It was announced at the convention today that the next Celebration will take place in Anaheim, CA, at the Anaheim Convention Center on April 16-19, 2015.

Her Universe, a scifi merchandise company targeted to women created by actress Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars), tweeted out the photo here below taken today at Celebration, which shows the next location and dates.

Star Wars Celebration Comes To Anaheim In 2015

The first Star Wars Celebration took place in April 1999 in Denver, CO – the hometown of the Official Star Wars Fan Club – three weeks before the release of Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Subsequent Celebration conventions were held every few years in different areas of the United States until the Celebration Europe in London in 2006 (this year’s convention in Essen, Germany was called Celebration Europe II), followed by 2008’s Celebration Japan. Celebration V saw the massive Star Wars meet-up return to the States in Orlando, FL in 2010.

The 2015 event would be called Star Wars Celebration VII, which is perfect naming and timing, with the next Star Wars film, Episode VII, being released in theaters soon after. The Anaheim Convention Center is located right near Disneyland, and with Disney now owning the Star Wars franchise, you can bet it’s going to get crazy over there.

By the way, if you’re not familiar with Her Universe, oh man, it’s got such awesome stuff for women. Seriously, support the shop so we can keep getting awesomely geeky, yet flattering clothing and accessories for us fangirls.
