A couple of days back a pair of teaser trailers were released for Transcendence, the feature directorial debut of Inception and The Dark Knight cinematographer Wally Pfister starring Johnny Depp.
Usually a studio releases teasers and trailers here and there over many months, but as it turns out, Warner Brothers couldn’t wait to share Transcendence with the masses. In addition to the two teasers, a third teaser and the first full trailer were also released later that same day. Odd!

Transcendence also stars Morgan Freeman, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, and Clifton Collins, Jr., and will be released on April 18, 2014.

I can see a mix of Matrix, Lawnmower Man and Extracted. If they tease out the best parts of those concepts, then I’m sold. Hell, I’m probably sold already.
