Best buds Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are being silly again. The duo has been photographing themselves in fun situations for a few months now – you can visit see a history of their escapades here.
This time around, the two Brits posted a photo to Twitter of themselves getting ready for football’s biggest day of the year, Super Bowl XLVIII, happening this Sunday night. In the photo, the X-Men co-stars are sporting NFL jersey’s from this year’s contenders: Stewart is wearing one for the Seattle Seahawks, while McKellen is in one for the Denver Broncos, which is all well and good except that they’re holding up a soccer ball!
Check out the photo here below.
The photo op is obviously a fun little jab at us Americans, who have our own “Football” sport. Everywhere else, what we refer to as “soccer” is considered football.
The long-time friends and co-stars are currently performing on Broadway in two plays, Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land and Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot for Two Plays In Rep.
