BioWare's You've Been Chosen "Spark" Teaser

Recently a mysterious teaser trailer was released for something new from Mass Effect and Dragon Age developer BioWare. The teaser was called “Nightmare,” and declared clearly and quite cryptically that “You’ve Been Chosen.”

Now a second teaser for the mystery project has been released, this time dubbed “Spark,” and the mystery grows. It too is strange and reveals little, but is worth watching if you’re excited by mysterious new games from top developers being teased through viral marketing.

Click on over to the other side to check out the new teaser, and for links to sites that have been discovered that relate to these strange teaser videos and really add to the mystery.

At the end of the “Nightmare” teaser were the words “What Really Happens When We Sleep?” The teaser was also accompanied by another layer of mystery in the YouTube description section with even more words:

The time is near
They are watching
Your power is rising
Cologne, Germany
You’ve Been Chosen

At the end of this new teaser, as you’ll see, are the words “Do You Know They Are Watching?” The video also got a similar YouTube description that read:

Do you know they are watching?
Your power is rising
Cologne, Germany
You’ve Been Chosen

One thing in this new teaser I noticed is a missing persons sign looking for someone named Henna (you can spot it in the video below before pushing play). This opened the door to some very interesting new leads. Some Google searching using this name led me to others trying to decipher the mystery who had found connections to the name Henna as well.

Apparently someone who plays the BioWare MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic was contacted by someone from BioWare with this odd message and image. As you can see, the bottom includes the website SeekingHenna.com.

If you go to that website, there are multiple entries, including an image of Henna Ellen Caplin’s incident report (searching her full name brings back a Wikia page for what’s described as an ARG or alternate reality game, with details about Henna). Looking over the incident report you’ll read more of her disappearance and find some links at the bottom, including to the school shown in the odd message image above and to the puzzles subreddit page.

The school’s website looks like a normal school site for the most part, but there’s certainly some curious sections to it, such as the faculty page and some of the courses listed. If you check out the events calendar, you’ll see that Powers of the Mind Club Day takes place on August 18th of this year, so there’s that to look forward to!

The puzzles subreddit page is related to the very first post on the SeekingHenna page, written by someone named Blake. If you check it out, you’ll notice certain letters are underlined. Another puzzle added to the mix.

This is all a bit much for my brain to comprehend, personally, but for those of you who want to keep searching for answers to the question of what in the sweet hell BioWare is up to should be able to find some good paths using these links. You can also head here for even more people trying to deduce what’s going on using the many clues.

Hopefully an announcement is coming soon!
