Universal has decided to put together their very own version of the Pixar Brain Trust to work together on the planned Avengers-style shared universe reboot of their Classic Monsters.

It’s being reported that the studio has brought in Ed Solomon, Noah Hawley, and Aaron Guzikowski as part of the strategy. The trio now will join forces with the first two members of the cinematic collective, Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan.

The gameplan is to have everyone work together on all of the monster movie projects being made, similarly to how a TV show’s writer’s room works. Everyone will be a part of the movies being made, whether it’s in a smaller capacity just helping out or all the way up to writing and/or directing, such as Kurtzman is doing for the first rebooted movie, The Mummy.

While they’ll all be helping each other, everyone will have a primary focus movie, such as Kurtzman’s Mummy. Guzikowski is set to take the lead as the writer of The Wolfman reboot, while what Hawley and Solomon will be concentrating on is not yet known.

Solomon has previously worked on the screenplays for Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Men in Black, Now You See Me and its sequel, and the possible Venom Spider-Man spinoff. Hawley is the creator, writer, and producer behind the recent Fargo TV series, and was also a writer and producer on Bones. Guzikowski penned the script for the 2013 Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal drama Prisoners, as well as 2012’s Contraband.

Early last month it was revealed that the recent Dracula Untold ties into the Universal Classic Monsters reboot, though nothing more than that is known.
