The Voices is just one of those films that deserve your attention. Not because it’s a blockbuster flick, but because it has an intriguing premise. The movie is strange dark comedy that sees Ryan Reynolds as a likeable factory worker who talks to his pet dog and cat. It’s the kind of film that any pet lover (like myself) would enjoy watching. It made its debut over at the Sundance Film Festival last year where it was met with positive reviews and was called one of the darkest comedies of the year.
Now Lionsgate has released the first trailer for The Voices, which you can see right after the jump.
Marjane Satrapi‘s upcoming film also stars Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick, and Jacki Weaver.
Here’s the official synopsis,
THE VOICES is a genre-bending film which centers around Jerry, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden turn, we follow Jerry’s perspective as his talking pets, a sinister cat and benevolent dog, lead him down a fantastical, murderous path.
The Voices opens in theaters and On Demand on February 6. So what do you think?
