Last week on Vikings 3.5 “The Usurper,” the warriors returned to Kattegat after a “successful” battle for Mercia. The discovery of Siggy’s death was too much for Rollo (Clive Standen), who was eaten with regret and grief. He’s back to self-destruction. Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) confronts Kalf (Ben Robson), with no results. Even Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) doesn’t help her. Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford) destroys the viking village in Wessex, slaughtering even the children. And King Ecbert (Linus Roache) was the puppetmaster the entire time. Ragnar… he told you he was corrupt. You should have listened.

Vikings 3.6 “Born Again” review: Literally, the first 11 minutes has bromance, jealousy, a birth, and a murder.

Vikings – I think I have to break up with you. It’s not you, it’s me. You are as exciting and vibrant as ever, this episode alone is evidence of that. But you hurt me to such depths, I’m not sure I can recover. I’ll come back. I always do. But it will never be the same.

This episode picks up many months later. Ragnar and Athelstan (George Blagden) play with rocks for Paris-invading strategy as Floki looks on with suspicion and hate. These two really love each other. Will Ragnar’s love be enough to protect him from an entire viking village of hate? I don’t know…

Judith (Jennie Jacques) is in severe torturous danger from her husband and father-in-law. I had to look away. Even with Athelstan far away from Wessex, he still affects extreme actions and reactions.

Everything always come back to Athelstan. Why is everyone so obsessed with him?

Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) is a father – a father who loves his wife, Porunn (Gaia Weiss). She pushes him away, encouraging him to be with other women. So sweet what they named the baby.

Everyone starts arriving for the Paris raid. Kalf – I would be very wary of Lagertha’s secret smile if I were you.

I cannot even believe what happened at the end. I don’t even know how to feel. I can’t believe it.
