Here’s a recap of last week’s “Lucy,” before the review of The Returned 1.7 “Rowan.”

What is a fake clairvoyant to do when she is stabbed, chewed on, dead, then returned? Turn into a real clairvoyant of course. Lucy (Leah Gibson) is scared shitless, and a lesson in be-careful-what-you-wish-for. Jack (Mark Pellegrino) is a bit freaked out himself. After passing out in the woods, Lena (Sophie Lowe) is found by Adam (Rhys Ward), who seems to be cured by her kindness. Camille (India Ennenga) tells Ben who she really is and he predictably runs away. Victor (Dylan Kingwell) messes with Peter’s (Jeremy Sisto) mind for revenge. As Peter begs forgiveness, he seems to see the gunman Henry/Victor saw that night put a gun to his head. And then it’s his own hand. Sisto did a great job with that scene. Without words, I knew that was exactly how Henry felt that night. And Peter did too.

The Returned 1.7 “Rowan” review: This episode was freaky. We got another Rowan (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) backstory, this time about a year ago, when she was having Simon (Mat Vairo) visions that were actually visions. She dropped Chloe off with Tommy (Kevin Alejandro), wrote letters of farewell, and overdosed. Tommy found her in time.

Lena’s friends dug up Camille’s grave and found nothing except a casket full of water. Their jail stay and Tommy’s subsequent visit to the Winship house as a result, spur Claire and Peter’s decision (Jack was not happy) to have Camille come out of the dead closet. The support group reacted as expected. But Peter coached her and turned it around. Was it the right thing to do?

Meanwhile Lena learns Adam’s secret and runs into Tony (Aaron Douglas) with it. He is so desperate to get his brother back, he ties her up. Watch the clip below to see what happens.

Simon visits Chloe at camp and tells her to tell her mommy that he’s coming for them tonight. Well that’s not scary at all. That visit does not go well. Rowan’s reaction really puzzles me.

Nikki and Julie get back together. Victor lurks. I’m afraid. Victor talking to Chloe in the park scared me more than it scared her.

A slow dance with a construction guy makes me think I know crazy Helen’s next move.

What do you think she will do next?

This show is so well made. I cannot get enough of it. The mystery surrounding Victor and the returned haunts me and I look for any little clue to provide insight. I do hope there are some answers during the last three episodes of the season.

The Returned airs Monday nights at 10pm ET on A&E.
