Just when you thought you knew what to expect from Legendary’s Warcraft after the teaser video for the trailer the other day, things suddenly seem much more interesting. Fresh off the heals of an exclusive debut at Blizzcon today, Blizzard and Legendary have released the full trailer for their upcoming adventure and it’s full of awesome!

Watch the trailer here below!

First off, what most fans expected to be a dramatization of the orcs in an epic battle with humans might not be the whole story. In fact, it seems that the orcs and humans might have to make an uneasy alliance (like they were forced to do in the Warcraft III game). We see Travis Fimmel‘s King Anduin Lothar at first fighting the orcs, but ultimately he might have to join forces with Toby Kebbel‘s Durotan to fight some unseen force. We also get our first glimpse of the legendary half-orc Garona Halforcen played by Paula Patton. And most excitedly, we get our first glimpse of baby Thrall (the son of Durotan)!!!! So after all, we might see something beyond the game’s “Alliance vs Horde” standard in favor of a new story. There is also some scenes of orcs fighting “green orcs.” That sounds an awful bit like Gul’Dan’s doing.

Look for Warcraft to hit theaters like a warhammer in June of 2016.

For the Horde!

Warcraft is based on Blizzard Entertainment’s insanely popular online game series, World Of Warcraft, and is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code). The film, which arrives in theaters, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D on Friday, June 10, 2016, stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky, and Daniel Wu.

Official Synopsis:

From Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures comes Warcraft, an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on Blizzard Entertainment’s global phenomenon.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: orc warriors feeling their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people, and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and written by Charles Leavitt and Jones, the film starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinzky and Daniel Wu is a Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment, and Atlas Entertainment production.
