This should be an exciting moment for all Star Wars fans as Disney has formally announced that they will be releasing a 3D version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens alongside a real collector’s edition of the movie on home video.
While most of us do not have the 3D TVs necessary to see the film in the proper 3D format as advertised, the upcoming collector’s edition, which is set for release later this fall, does come with some cool new bonus features that weren’t included in the original DVD/Blu-ray that was released a few months ago. Hit the jump to see what kind of cool new bonus features you can see if you purchase the item.

An audio commentary from J.J. Abrams would surely have been nice to see on the original home entertainment release, alas most of us had to settle for the in-depth documentary. Not that there wasn’t anything wrong with that, but it would have been nice to hear what it was like to shoot the film from those who were right there on the set.
It’s still not clear if any of these bonus features can only be viewed on the 3D disc, like I said, most of us don’t even have 3D TVs.
