Video Shows Areas Of ‘BioShock’ You Can’t Explore While Playing

BioShock

In every video game you can only go where the game lets you go. Even the biggest open world games have areas that you can’t reach and explore. And in most cases, those areas don’t have anything worth seeing. But as it turns out, sometimes there’s interesting stuff hiding.

My favorite recent internet discovery is the video series “Boundary Break” from YouTube user Shesez. The videos explore these areas in various video games by basically detaching the camera and taking it wherever they want, giving fans a peek at some of the hidden things you could never discover for yourself while playing.

One of the most recent videos explores the unreachable areas of the classic BioShock, and finds some pretty darn cool (and sometimes funny) little secrets. You can watch the video below.

This is the 27th entry in the “Boundary Break” series, which began back in April. Most of the videos are Nintendo titles such as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Luigi’s Mansion. I haven’t played Nintendo games in many years (though I would be right now if I could get my hands on an NES Tickle Me Elmo Edition), but they’ve started expanding out to other games recently such as Dark Souls, Resident Evil 4, and now BioShock.

Wishing you could vote this week? Give me episode suggestions in the comments! Bioshock is an example of how i love to listen to viewer feedback :)

Also here’s my twitter in case you havnt been following already: https://twitter.com/BoundaryBreak

Commentary: Funny enough I had never played Bioshock all the way through up until this episode. I use to work at Toys r us and the director and a staff member apprently were going from store to store in their local area to ask how the game was selling.

At the time, I hadnt owned a 360 or PS3 and was actually kind of fatigued from all the hype it was getting. But when they came in it was such a surreal experience for me as a gamer. Especially after his claims were validated when he was in a whole bunch of interviews for Infinite.

I really hope the folks who were suggesting this game prior to the poll get a chance to watch it. This episode was 100% for all of you.
