Star Trek Picard Patrick Stewart

Ok, I am officially jealous that I am not on-site at San Diego Comic-Con right now. You guys, they have a pop-up Picard Museum there!!!

In conjunction with the upcoming CBS All Access series, Star Trek: Picard, the studio has set up a temporary Jean-Luc Picard: The First Duty museum experience outside the convention center at the Michael J. Wolf Fine Arts in San Diego. There, visitors can get an exclusive replica pin of the Picard family crest, which will be seen in Star Trek: Picard.

There’s also a lot more Star Trek happening at the convention, including a panel on Saturday for the CBS All Access shows, as well as a Star Trek Universe booth (Booth #4237, which reportedly has Chateau Picard Vintage wine!), cast autograph sessions, and exclusive merchandise, collectibles, and comic books across several convention-floor booths. Visit the Star Trek site for more details.

As for Star Trek: Picard, the new streaming series will see the return of Patrick Stewart in his iconic role of Jean-Luc Picard, once the famed captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise, the Starfleet flagship of the United Federation of Planets, as seen on the Star Trek: The Next Generation television series (1987-1994) and its subsequent movie spin-offs. Executive producer Alex Kurtzman and showrunner Michael Chabon recently gave EW the scoop about the new show, confirming that Season 1 will be a serialized story set in space, contrary to what we’ve seen so far, which is the former captain in retirement with his dog in France at his family’s vineyard. (See the teaser trailer released in May.) Kurtzman said that Picard will go back into space, “but not in a way that anyone expects.” Check out the entire EW article for more about the show.

Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, and Harry Treadaway. Former TNG star Jonathan Frakes is confirmed to direct 2 episodes, and there are some hints of other possible Trek cameos.
