Director Dean DeBlois‘s How To Train Your Dragon films have taken audiences to visually stunning worlds where the skies are filled with dragons and a young Viking named Hiccup, who aspires to follow in his father’s footsteps to become a dragon killer, befriends Toothless, a black night fury. On this journey of self-discovery, Hiccup goes from a clumsy lanky misfit to courageous leader of his tribe. For the past ten years, we’ve seen Hiccup become the hero and leader he was always destined to be. And on this journey, he’s come across choices that would help develop who he is.

But it all comes to an end in this epic, and bittersweet, conclusion. Following what the previous two films have established, How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a visually stunning animated feature that ends the franchise on its own terms. Check out the full review here below.

Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle Header Image

Back in May we saw a trailer for Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, and King Kong star Andy Serkis‘s new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling‘s The Jungle Book titled Mowgli.

At the time the movie was set up at Warner Brothers, where it had been housed over the past four years since we first heard about it. But since that time Warner Bros. lost confidence in the film, and eventually sold it to Netflix. In the acquisition Netflix obtained a film with a hell of a cast, which includes Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, Freida Pinto, Matthew Rhys, Naomie Harris, and Serkis, all joining young Rohan Chand, who plays the title character.

Now Netflix has released their own official trailer for the movie, now titled Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, and you can check it out below along with a synopsis for the movie.

The House With A Clock In Its Walls

The House with a Clock in Its Walls
Director: Eli Roth
Writer: Eric Kripke
Cast: Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Owen Vaccaro, Kyle MacLachlan, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Sunny Suljic
Distributor: Universal Pictures
Rated PG | Minutes: 104
Release Date: September 21, 2018

The House with a Clock in Its Walls is Eli Roth‘s first foray into children’s films. Based on the 1973 novel of the same name by John Bellairs, the film is a first-time collaboration between the filmmaker and Amblin Entertainment.

Normally, the spirit of Amblin films and Roth’s horror influence would make for an interesting combination. But the result is an odd concoction of mixed feelings and a film that, at times, can feel like it is at war with itself. Check out the full review below.
