A popular thing to do amongst family and friends is share passwords for their streaming accounts like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now. It’s a growing trend that does hurt these services. But for those who cannot afford multiple subscriptions, it does help cut down costs. One way these services try to prevent that is to offer multiple users on one account but at a higher price. Still, most do not go for this option.

But it looks like Disney+, Disney’s upcoming streaming service, may be working on ways to stop the practice of password sharing. More on the report below.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

For a long time, Star Wars fans have hoped that Ewan McGregor would reprise the role of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi in a spinoff film. While the spinoff rumors were met with mixed results, there was an increased amount of optimism when it was announced that Disney would be launching Disney+, the studio’s exclusive streaming service. With The Mandalorian and the untitled Cassian Andor series already confirmed, there seemed to be more than enough room for other Star Wars titles to exist on the streaming platform.

Now it has been confirmed that there will be an Obi-Wan series, and that it will see McGregor return to the role that he played in the prequels. More on the reports below.

Disney is so much more than Marvel Studios, Pixar, and Star Wars. They are also the parent company of ESPN and own a majority of Hulu. So when the entertainment giant announced that they would be launching their own streaming service, many believed that they would also have a package that would include ESPN and Hulu. And that news was confirmed today by Bob Iger during an investor call where he also announced reboots of Home Alone and more.

He revealed that the bundle would also be launched at the same time as Disney+ and that it would be priced at $12.99. So how does that stack up against other competitors like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now? Check it out below.

Baron Zemo

Marvel Studios took the Hall H stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 to show off their upcoming slate of films and TV shows that will appear on Disney+. While the presentation was more of what they’ve got cooking, there were a few interesting teases that went viral.

One of them was The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Although we weren’t there, Marvel shared a release date for the series. Not only that, but they’ve now teased a first-hand look at Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo. And this was no ordinary tease. It had him wearing that signature purple mask the villain is known for wearing in the comics. Check out the image below.

Hawkeye

Though Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is one of the founding members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers, he never really had a major role in it. Yes, that started to change towards the end, but he is remembered as a supporting character. But that will change now that he will be the lead of his own show, simply titled Hawkeye, coming to Disney+ this fall.

Though the show isn’t expected to debut until later in 2020, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige took to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the upcoming series as well as Kate Bishop, a major character in Matt Fraction and David Aja’s comic series Hawkeye #1 (December 2016). In it, Barton found himself semi-retired and teaching Young Avenger Kate Bishop the ropes of being a skillful archer. More below.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Though Marvel’s televised series are said to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they don’t really function as one considering how Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment don’t speak to each other in a way that would make it a cohesive shared universe. However, that will be different for the Marvel TV series over at Disney+, Disney’s exclusive streaming service.

While at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige plus Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan took to the stage to talk about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and mentioned a few surprises that will include the return of some characters from the Russo Brothers’ Captain America films. More on all of this, below.

Everyone’s fan-favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe anti-hero and occasional villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will be making a move to the small screen in the upcoming series Loki.

It was announced last year that Loki will be appearing in a show coming to Disney+, Disney’s exclusive streaming series. While there has been some wild speculations and unconfirmed rumors on what we could see in the show and how the character will function in it, it seems that Avengers: Endgame laid out all the groundwork for the series.
