LEGO Dimensions Back to the Future

The impressive voice cast has been announced for the upcoming video game LEGO Dimensions in the form of a new preview video.

While the cast is huge, it’s a specific part of the cast that’s particularly exciting. Among all the names, none other than Michael J. Fox is in the game, reprising his role as Marty McFly from Back to the Future. He’s also joined by co-star Christopher Lloyd, who of course voices Emmett “Doc” Brown. If you recall a handful of years ago, Telltale made their own episodic Back to the Future game, but Fox was unable to record for the game at the time, leading to them bringing in a surprisingly accurate impressionist for the job.

You can read a rundown of who joins Fox and Lloyd on the cast, including stars of The LEGO Movie, Doctor Who, Portal, and more, and also watch the voice cast announcement video below.

Jimmy Kimmel School of Perfect Acting

“My name is Jim Kimmel” [dramatic pause] “and I teach.”

Jimmy Kimmel hosted a special late night edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live after the 87th Annual Academy Awards last night with this “seriously” guffaw-worthy bit called “The Kimmel School of Perfect Acting” about “the greatest acting school there ever was…or ever will be,” according to Benedict Cumberbatch. It included testimonials from Cumberbatch, Lupita Nyong’o, Mila Kunis, Harvey Weinstein, Jeff Bridges, Kristen Bell, Susan Sarandon, Jennifer Anniston, Gary Oldman, Sean Penn, Matt Damon (excuse me – Matt Damen), Emily Blunt, and more.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is to Rise of the Planet of the Apes what The Empire Strikes Back is to Star Wars. An incredible, awe-inspiring epic; a monumental achievement in genre filmmaking and one of the year’s very best films.

Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), the film begins with a montage of news reports showing the collapse of human civilization in the wake of the ALZ-113 virus. Ten years after the “Simian Flu” epidemic, Caesar (Andy Serkis) governs a growing nation of genetically enhanced apes in the Muir Woods. With his wife Cornelia (Judy Greer) and son River (Nick Thurston), Caesar has established a thriving community for his species – one free of human interference.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer Header Image

During Sunday’s season finale of The Walking Dead, viewers got another tantalizing glimpse at this summer’s super simian sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the form of the film’s first television spot.

So what makes this spot worth watching? Three words: APES ON HORSEBACK! I fell in love the moment a massive gate opened to show us ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) and some of his loyal followers sitting atop noble steeds and geared up for some serious stuff to start. The visual effects work in this film could do the unthinkable and easily surpass the technical accomplishments of 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

You can check it out here below.

Gary Oldman Shares British Valentine's Day Tradition

It looks like Gary Oldman has become the spokesperson for how the British view holidays. In November, he shared an anglicized message about America’s Thanksgiving, and now The Dark Knight Rises actor is back to share a British Valentine’s Day tradition.

During an appearance last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote this new film, RoboCop, which opens in theaters today, the British actor showed the audience how the romantic holiday is celebrated in his native country. As is expected from Oldman, the segment is pretty wacky.
