Hitman: Absolution
Xbox 360 l PS3 l PC
DEVELOPER: IO Interactive
PUBLISHER: Square Enix
Rated M
RELEASE DATE: November 20, 2012

Six long years. That’s how long fans of the Hitman video game franchise have waited for this. And finally, Hitman: Absolution arrived this year.

Six years is a very long time to wait for the next installment in a game series you adore, indeed, as fans of Hitman and Bethesda games can very well tell you. For we who have anxiously awaited the chance to once again slip on the gloves of Agent 47, watching in stunned silence as not one but two Kane & Lynch games were made instead, the moment we finally got our hands on it could only be described as blissful.

This also comes with a healthy dose of bias, even for those trying to be as objective as possible such as myself, as Absolution was going to have to be an unfathomable disaster for fans to be unsatisfied. Still, while the game has a lot to be happy about, there were still some minor flaws to overcome.

Hitman: Absolution Image

The latest installment in the collection of Hitman: Absolution trailers that focus on various aspects of the game, is titled “Living, Breathing World.”

In it, you’ll look closer at the world that surrounds Agent 47 as he makes he way through his missions, as well as the people within it. Developer IO Interactive clearly did not want just a bunch of robotic people in their world, walking on rails from one side of the room to the other, saying the same thing over and over. And so they set out, ambitiously, to give their world real life. Now we can only wait until the game is released on November 20th (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) to see what kind of lungs it has.

Be sure to check out the Hitman: Absolution “Living, Breathing World” trailer below now.

Hitman: Absolution Image

We’ve seen plenty of great previews of the upcoming IO Interactive and Square Enix title Hitman: Absolution, but, as it turns out, the game will offer a lot more than just a great single-player campaign for fans of the series.

Absolution will also have online gameplay options, but not the kind you’re used to. You won’t be jumping into a map with 14 other Agent 47s running around trying to kill each other. Instead, you’ll get to compete with friends and others online in something called Contracts Mode.

Hitman Image

Another new trailer has been released for the upcoming Hitman: Absolution, and just like pretty much every video we’ve seen, it’s phenomenal.

The new trailer is called “Tools of the Trade,” and it takes a peek at the unbelievable amount of weapons Agent 47 will be able to use to get his mission completed. The word “weapons” being used loosely, as it includes everything from real weapons to regular everyday items being used maliciously.

This one’s all about showing off your choice to play through as a silent assassin…or as a psychotic, remorseless killer. It may be considered NSFW by some, so continue on below with caution to watch the new Hitman: Absolution trailer.

Hitman Agent 47 Image

For some reason earlier in production, developer IO Interactive had decided that they were not going to use actor David Bateson to voice the role of Agent 47 in the upcoming fifth game in the franchise, Hitman: Absolution. Bateson had voiced the main character since the series’ first game back in 2000.

Now comes word that, after a lengthy search for a new voice actor, that developer IO Interactive has ultimately decided to go back to Bateson for the job. In addition to Bateson, William Mapother (LOST) has handled the motion capture performance of 47.

Hitman: Absolution

We’ve already seen one brain-‘splodin’ first gameplay demonstration for the much anticipated fifth installment in the Hitman franchise, titled Hitman: Absolution. But why stop there? The more the merrier, as they say!

Developer IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix brought with them an excellent new demo from another part of the game, as well as a shiny new cinematic trailer where a group of sexy nuns are out to end Agent 47.

This is one of my top most exciting titles, and I really just can’t wait to get my hands and eyes on it.
