Warcraft Movie Logo Official1

During Legendary Pictures’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, which also included Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, long-in-the-making World of Warcraft movie took the Hall H stage.

This is director Moon and Source Code Duncan Jones’ third year working on the movie, titled Warcraft, after presenting and teasing the film the last two Comic-Cons. Jones wanted the movie to be an epic fantasy adventure movie, and something that was made to appeal to a wide audience beyond the loyal gamers.

Also taking part in the panel was cast members Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu, Paula Patton, Robert Kazinsky, Ruth Negga, Ben Schnetzer, Clancy Brown, and Ben Foster.

Deadpool Comic-Con

It’s was Fox’s turn to take the Hall H stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Saturday night, and they brought their superhero big guns with them for the event in the form of X-Men: Apocalypse, Fantastic Four reboot, and the Merc with a Mouth himself, Deadpool.

It was the latter that really got the crowd going bonkers, perhaps even eliciting the biggest response of the entire convention when a brutally violent and funny—as it should be—preview of the movie was shown. The trailer got a standing ovation followed by a “one more time!” chant forcing them to play it a second time.

β€œIt’s only been 11 years in the making,” said star Ryan Reynolds, who was on hand for the event. “One year ago, it was some asshole who released the footage onto the internet.” And here we are.

Continue reading for more from Reynolds and more cast, as well as a description of the trailer shown.

Star Wars Concert Fireworks

People were lining up as early as late Wednesday/early Thursday for the Star Wars panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, which was held at 5:30PM PST Friday evening. This was pretty unbelievable, as it was already known that they wouldn’t be showing any new trailers for the movie. Then again, this is Star Wars we’re talking about here.

As it turns out, committing that much time to waiting in line was worth it for many. In addition to seeing the cast live and in person and being shown an excellent behind-the-scenes video focusing on the incredible practical effects being used in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, director J.J. Abrams invited the entire 6,500-person audience to a special concert of Star Wars music by San Diego Symphony nearby at Embarcadero Marina.

Those who attended the concert were given a glowing lightsaber to wave around joyously during the concert, and it was all wrapped up with a fireworks display. You can see some videos of the event below.
