‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’ Trailer Features Miles Morales As The Webslinger
|

When Sony and Marvel Studios made a deal to share Spider-Man, the former promised us that they would be expanding the Spider-Man universe without its flagship character. As strange as that sounds, the studio is fully confident that their Spider-Man-less universe can work. Not only that, but they would also be taking the character to the world of animation as well. But not with Peter Parker as the lead. Instead, the animated film would focus on Miles Morales, the second Spider-Man of the Spider-Man Ultimate universe, and the first Afro-Latino superhero. And now, we are getting a first look at the new animated Spider-Man film titled Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
If you are expecting to see some traditional hand-drawn animation or CGI, then prepare to be quite surprised, as the film will have an unexpected style that will surely grab your interest. Check out the trailer here below.

New York Comic-Con was so much fun this past weekend, and one of the highlights of my time was getting to interview “the man in the chair” aka movie-stealer aka Spidey’s best friend aka Ned also known as Jacob Batalon. Spider-Man: Homecoming was one of the best Spider-Man movies in years, and one of the many reasons was Batalon’s utter glee as Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) sidekick.
Check out the interview below.

A Better Look At Spider-Man’s New Suit That Will Appear In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

At one point in time, a superhero will get a costume change. We are seeing a lot of this happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, usually with Iron Man and Captain America. But towards the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, we saw that Peter Parker would be given a new suit if he took the offer to become an Avenger. Of course, he declined, but that doesn’t mean it was the last time we would see the suit.
That’s because it appeared once again during the Avengers: Infinity War trailer that was shown this summer at both D23 Expo and the San Diego Comic-Con. But Spidey fans barely got any time to familiarize themselves with it as it was shown for only a brief moment. Now, they will be able to see the full suit. So, if you want to take a look, check out the full image here below.

Sony Has Plans To Expand Their Spider-Man-Less Spinoff Universe

Spider-Man recalls that there was a point in time when Sony had the ambitious plans of creating a cinematic universe on the back of the fairly weak Amazing Spider-Man movies. Those plans never came to fruition, and the studio was forced to scale back on the plans, even resorting to sharing the Webslinger with their Marvel competitors over at Disney.
However, that deal worked out in both of their favors, and with Spider-Man: Homecoming being such a huge success, Sony can look forward to building a Spider-Man-less cinematic universe using supporting characters like Venom, Silver Sable, and Black Cat. The studio has already announced that there will be two films based on those characters, and they intend to announce a few more in the coming months. More on this story below.

D23 Expo 2017: Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Come next year, Marvel Studios will be celebrating their tenth anniversary. Quite an achievement for a superhero movie studio owned by Disney. And what better way for them to commemorate such an occasion then to release the ensemble of ensembles, an Avengers film featuring heroes from not only across the globe but from galaxies far away as well. We were at D23 to see the very first look at Avenger: Infinity War, and as you can imagine, there was a lot to take in and a lot to get excited over. Check out our description of the footage here below.

The Reason Why Spidey’s Spider Sense Never Tingled In ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

If you watched Spider-Man: Homecoming last weekend chances are you may have noticed some very significant differences to the character. Sure Uncle Ben wasn’t there, Peter (Tom Holland) didn’t make the suit himself, and a diverse cast played characters that were portrayed as Caucasian in the comics.
But one of the most notable things that went under the radar was Spider-Man’s lack of a tingling Spider Sense. So for those who haven’t seen the film yet, there will be spoilers following the jump. You have been warned.
